Social events
During the conference we will organize a variety of social events for you to connect with fellow researchers in an informal setting or to simply enjoy your time in Utrecht. Below you will find more information about the conference dinner, boat trip and farewell reception.
Conference dinner
On Tuesday 12th of July, a conference dinner will be held in the city center of Utrecht. The location is Winkel van Sinkel, a historic building located at the Old Canal. While enjoying the deluxe walking dinner and drinks, you have a beautiful view over the city center with the Dom tower.

Time: 19.00 – 23.00h
Costs: €55 (this includes full dinner and drinks)

Boat trip
On Wednesday 13th of July, you can go on a boat trip through the beautiful canals of Utrecht with a tour guide. Some snacks and drinks are provided, but you will have time before or afterwards to enjoy a nice dinner at the center of Utrecht.
Location: Starting point is at the dock of Rederij Schuttevaer, Oudegracht 85, 3511 AD, Utrecht
Time: 19.00 – 20.30h (please be at the dock 10 minutes before departure)
Costs: €20 (this includes the tour, a drink and some snacks)

Farewell Reception at the Botanical Gardens
On Thursday 14th of July, we invite you to the farewell reception at the Botanical Gardens, close to the conference venue at Utrecht Science Park. After the closing session on Thursday, you can join us here for some drinks and bites. Hopefully we can all toast to and look back on a successful EARLI SIG 5 conference!
Location: Botanical Gardens Utrecht University, Budapestlaan 17, 3584 CD Utrecht (Utrecht Science Park)
Time: 17.00 – 20.00h (after the closing sesison the organisation will walk you to the Botanical Gardens, 800 meters from the conference venue)
